After a hiatus in 2014, Burning Amp Festival is back for 2015!

According to Variac at diyaudio.com (Mark Cronander, organizer of BAF):

Nelson Pass will present his latest breakthrough, plus 3 other presentations. Siegfried Linkwitz will demo his LS Studio Speaker system with miniDSP crossovers and Bruno Putzey's Hypex amps all day.

We'll get all the rooms organized in the next couple of months so we all know what will be where,

Food and Snacks provided, Lunch available. Exhibitors please arrive by 9AM, Reception at 8PM Hang out with the stars...

For those who are new here, Burning Amp Festival is the premier DIY audio event. People travel from all over the world to attend this. Audio luminaries such as Nelson Pass, Siegfried Linkwitz and others usually host interesting presentations and demos, and there will be a lot of DIY gear on display.

I recommend any audio DIYer to consider attending, even if you have to travel. You won't regret it. I will of course be there!

Burning Amp Festival is this coming Saturday!

If everything goes as planned, there will be a AMB-only room featuring the Audio Artistry CBT36 line array speakers, Sunfire powered subwoofers, β24 power amp, Hafler DH-220 power amps, γ3 DAC, Behringer DCX-2496 DSP crossover, and much more!

I will be demo'ing some high-resolution recordings and other great music via a computer-audio setup.

Not to be missed!

Read this: Stereophile magazine's pre-show writeup about Burning Amp 2015

I am surprised to be mentioned as one of the "big three" next to Nelson Pass and Sigfried Linkwitz. :ugeek:

I'm busy getting my half hour presentation ready ;)

and yet, I still have one more physical build to finsh (chassis and wiring) and more software still left to write.

I'm up at 10am and will have all my arduino goodies there, that I've been working on (and posting pics of) during the last year.

current item, if I can get the chassis done in time, is an hdmi switch. transplanting a very nice 4k-capable hdmi switch to a new box and adding the arduino/zigbee remote control stuff so its part of the audio/video automation network.

A gallery of photos I took is up:

Burning Amp Festival 2015

Enjoy!

P.S. I heard Variac (Mark Cronander, the organizer-in-chief) mention that some 278 people attended. That makes it the biggest BAF ever!
