SIGMA 11 BUILD LOG

I was thinking about using an HDPLEX 200W LPSU to power my music server. Unfortunately it has output noise of 3mV/3000μV and so I wanted something quieter.

The idea i came up with was to build multiple Sigma 11's and connect their outputs in parallel for higher current handling.

Three o11's to the left, Three o11's to the right, each with their MOSFETs mounted to the side fins of the DISSIPANTE 2U case.
Between them would have three transformers.

You cannot connect multiple σ11s in parallel to supply more current. They will “fight” each other and become damaged.

Darn I read somewhere that some power supplies could be connected in parallel. Is there an exception to that rule or something?

Some power supplies have high output impedance, which could absorb the small output voltage differences among them when paralleled. But such output impedance is detrimental to load regulation.

σ11/22 has ultra low output impedance, with excellent load regulation. But one output will look like a dead short to another.
