I'm not sure they have it in stock, but the diyaudio store normally stocks large hifi2000 cases in their US warehouse, large 5U with heatsinks! Hey also have a pre drilled one with with tapped holes on the heatsinks for many projects, maybe it can be made to work with the b24

Thanks everyone for the replies.

This project is on hold for sometime. I recently moved and need to setup the house for the next month or so before I can pick this up.

The project is back online!!!

I have finished building my Speakers (Jim Holtz Finalists + 2 Subs for mains, Jim Holtz Statements Center Channel, Paul C's Overnight Sensations for the surrounds)

Now that all the speakers are done, I need a good amp to power them :-)

So before I order the parts for the β24. I had a question about the power supply switch.

Since I am building an integrated with A10 + B24, for the switching circuit, could I not use LCDUino's SSR Control.

Essentially, replace the A10's power SSR with Crydom 1240 (or even Crydom D2450 for a 50A output load) that can switch both the B24 power transformer as well as A10's power transformer.

Also in parallel connect the bleeder SSR relay to the LCDuino's SSR control.

Please see image below
B24+A10 Power control (2).jpg

This way I can save ~ $100 in cost and also space?

Thoughts?

As long as the relay as enough current to withstand the power of the entire circuit it should be ok, but Powering both circuits at once might give you some thump noise in the speakers during power up and down. Ti should be able to answer this certainly.

Yes you can do this. The LCDuino-1, in conjunction with δ2, provides turn-on delay muting for the output of the α20s. The β24 itself should be pop-free during turn-on. And as long as your α20s have negligible DC offset, it should also be quiet when the muting delay is over and the δ2 enables their outputs.

Great thanks.

Also could you confirm if I need to put a 220R resistor across the both the Crydom SSR (just like the instructions for E24) for the thermal breakers to work correctly?

It's not necessary. That's specific to the ε24 to ensure that there is enough current to trigger Q1 (for LED color change purposes).

My understanding is LCDuino is 5VDC, and the listed Omron relay needs 12VDC for the coil and the listed Crydom SSR needs >= 3VDC. What will source the 12 VDC for Omron relay?

Good catch, dsplodov. A 5V relay is needed there.
