See note 2 on the LCDuino-1 website parts list page: The FR0H223ZF needs to be mounted on the back side of the board. The diameter of the supercap and its pin pitch should be compatible with the board, but the pins may be a tight fit. Just file them down a little bit and it should fit fine.

Ti, thanks, yes I know that. I've built ~10 LCDuino controllers (with your and linux-works support).
However I'd like to stick to tablet-style capacitor like Panasonic, and I don't like idea of filing down FR0H223ZF leads.
Can bigger values be used instead of 0.022F?

Yes, you can use a larger capacitance. The 0.022F specified is not a magic number.
