I am not sure if using a regular power entry module with inline filter such this one http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Schurter/DD124111111/?qs=%2fha2pyFaduhf8Wp1OG0EOTE8uUWhzXgR3Lvt8%252bU71UXDDfW%252bpF7s2g%3d%3d is a good practice.
I think you get 1/2 mains voltage through the inline filter capacitors (Cy) on the chassis if you lose ground wire. I my self always use medical version of inline filter, without capacitors between Live to ground and Neutral to ground. :?:

I don't think "loose ground wire" is an issue. The body of the IEC is ground, so as long as it's mounted without isolation to the panel/chassis then there's no wire to come loose. It's also not certain whether 1/2 mains voltage would develop on AC ground even if the ground is disconnected. The capacitors in the IEC is likely too small a value for that to happen.

At any rate, if you're more comfortable with the medical version, it's fine too.

Maybe this question was already answered, but, anyway.....
Regarding digital input names and numbers.... I will not be using input # 1 on PCB, this will stay unpopulated. Do I have a chance to assign a number "1" (in programming LCDuino options) to physical input # 2 on PCB? I imagine I can name the input whatever I like, but does the LCDuino also assign numbers?

You can name each input what you want, but the mapping of input number is 1:1 to SRC4392's RXn number. Input 0 is always USB.

Would you mind sharing the fpd files for these panels? I searched around and didn't see that they were posted anywhere.

Stupid question. From γ3 specifications, the standby power is 4W. So it would be 0.8A on 5V LVDD. But the specifications for power supply requires 400mA minimum. Isn't the 4W a typo?

No, the 4W figure is measured on the AC mains side. It includes transformer and heat losses that isn't accounted for when you're talking about the DC current draw from the power supply.
