Hi
I have got gamma3 backplane board and installed most component(digital input and output section only install input3 parts and config as Coaxial)on it.I
have installed LCDuino-1 processor,gamma24 dac core module and alpha24 line amplifier on it(without zeta1 USB-I2S module).I can not get it working.
I follow the intial check procedure on AMB website.It seems no problem.Following are some results:
backplane board:
LVDD=+5.02V
VREF=+3.28V
VRXTX= +3.25V
V+=+10.08V(α24 L&R)
V-=-10.1V(α24 L&R
AVDD=+10.08V
AVSS=-10.1V
GVDD=+5.02V
gamma24 dac core module:
+3.3A=+3.3V
+3.3B=+3.3V
+3.3C=+3.3V
+1.8A=+1.78V
+5.0A=+5V
+5.0B=+5V
G_RESET=+3.3V
G_PCMDSD=0V
I connect usb sound card coaxial output to gamma3 digital input3.When power up,UAC mode LED does not light up.Setting input3 as signal source with remote
control.LCD does not display any sample rate information.I check some pins on src4392 with oscilloscope(tek1012b).Results as following:
pin5(RX3+):some pulses(should indicate incoming signal)
pin6(RX3-):some pulses(should indicate incoming signal)
pin11(LOCK):3.3V DC
pin12(RXCKO):0V DC
pin15(RDY):3.3V DC
pin20(SCL):some pulses(should indicate I2C bus activity)
pin22(SDA):some pulses(should indicate I2C bus activity)
pin25(MLCK):24.576MHz clock
pin37(BCKA):0V DC
pin38(LRCKA):3.3V DC
pin40(SDOUTA):0V DC
Does something doing with zeta1 usb module?Without zeta1,LCDuino1 processor rufuse to command src4392,isn't it?Or src4392 overheat and damage?There also

Well can not really tell anything from those pics other than you need to redo all of you CAPs. You really do not want your leads left that long. Another thing to check is the crystal make sure you did not short the solder connections to the case. The case on the crystal is ground.

Check the voltage at the ZVDD_5V0 and ZVDD_3V3 (two places) pins at the ζ1, relative to G, to see if you have 3.3V and 5V, respectively.
Also check your wiring between LCDuino-1 and the backplane to make sure everything is connected correctly. Use the schematic diagram as your guide.

As for S/PDIF, if the SRC4392 is getting a lock, then both the LOCK and RDY pins should be 0V. You're getting 3.3V on them, so there is no lock, and therefore no sample rate is displayed. Check to make sure your coax input related parts on the backplane board is exactly as specified in the "Digital input and output configuration" section of the γ3 website parts list page.

ZVDD_5V0 is 5V DC;without ζ1 installed ZVDD_3V3 is 0V DC.

Recheck wiring between LCDuino-1 and the backplane everything seems OK.
Check to make sure your coax input related parts on the backplane board is exactly as specified in the "Digital input and output configuration" section of the γ3 website parts list page.

As mention above,src4392 pin12(RXCKO)=0V DC.Does it OK?It should have clock pulses when power up,shouldn't it?

Another thing to check is the crystal make sure you did not short the solder connections to the case. The case on the crystal is ground.

- Your photo doesn't show it, but hopefully you did not install U6 for S/PDIF coax input on input 3.
- Is your sound card's S/PDIF coax output known to work? You may have to change some software settings for it to be active. How about trying a regular CD player with S/PDIF coax output? This would rule out any sound card/configuration issues.
- The SRC4392 RXCKO output is disabled by the firmware. It's not a surprise you measured 0V there.
- You only said that ZVDD_3V3 is 0V when ζ1 is not installed. How about when it is installed? Check both locations (pins 2 and 27 on the ζ1 board connector.
- You should reflow the X1 and X2 oscillators' solder joints on the backplane board. Soldering problems are common on these.
- When you plug in the USB cable on your computer, does it recognize a new device? What OS and platform are you using?

-60dB is very low volume. Try turning it up.
