Completed 3-channel build!

Postby SonnyMarrow » October 5th, 2018, 7:49 pm

I finally completed this build I started earlier this year. Lots of life events got in the way, but I finally found the time to get everything and assemble it. It's a three-channel version, with power supply in a separate case. Resistors are Vishay CMF55, 1/2 watt, 1%. Capacitors are Kemet for MLCC, Wilma for film, and Panasonic FM for electrolytic. All jacks are Neutrik. Gold sip sockets to change gain if I need to in the future. All wire is silver-coated copper, 22 AWG for signal, 18 AWG for power, 16 AWG for umbilical connection. Volume control is an Acoustic-Dimension 41-step attenuator, 10K. I think that's all of the details?

It sounds incredible. I'm upgrading from a Cavalli-Kan Kumisa III that I made awhile ago, and the difference is staggering. Separation is so much better. Now I need to upgrade my current DAC...
