Burning Amp Festival 2012 - October 28

Postby amb » October 23rd, 2012, 10:14 pm

It's that time of the year for the world's premier DIY audio event and gathering. It will take place this upcoming Sunday October 28th at San Francisco's Fort Mason. The event is brought to you by a few good people over at the diyaudio.com forums, and attended by people from all over the world. Nelson Pass is a regular fixture at these events, so are Siegfried Linkwitz, John Curl and others. If you're anywhere near the San Francisco Bay Area, this is an event not to be missed. You'll see and hear lots of innovative DIY creations, talk to fellow aficionados, meet the luminaries and attend lectures on technical topics.

Heck, even if you're far away, it's worth the trip! People routinely travel from Europe and other parts of the world to come to this.

Full info is here:

I will bring the Audio Artistry CBT36 speakers and the associated gear, including sources, DSP crossover, power amps and two subwoofers. Hope to see you there!

Forgive the cross post from diyaudio:

A few photos: http://flic.kr/s/aHsjCCNRoc nothing special:

I thought Nelson's F6 talk was very interesting. I learned more in that hour than I have in the last 5 years probably. The Class D talk was very interesting as well. I kinda wanna try one of the Hypex modules now.

Edit: fixed link. The forum software thought the ellipses that were originally there were part of the hyperlink.

The link works if you take out the ellipses but yes, it's broken.

I thought the last picture is funny - "Harmonic Distortion tested While U Wait"

What's the big line array that isn't the CBT36K?
