ok, so I hooked up the switch to my DMM and as long as you only push the button in until it clicks, it appears to operate just like a momentary switch should. However, if you keep pushing it in, the contact is broken briefly, and as you keep pushing in more, contact is made again. So, if you push the button all the way in, it will go open->close->open->close.

That said, even if I only push the button in enough to click, the E24 is still not operating properly.

On a more positive note, once I cased up the S22, the transformer hum is not so bad, and I could not hear it while playing music at a low volume :)

That's what I thought might be happening. What a strange switch behavior. I might change to a different switch for my preamp.

You said that it once worked fine, right? So something changed. What's different between then and now?

Nothing changed as far as I know. For whatever reason, it worked fine the first day and hasn't since then. I'm going to see if I can dig up another momentary switch just to rule that out.

Finally got around to ordering a new switch from Mouser (the standard Bulgin on the AMB site) and now it works perfectly :) Not sure what the deal is with the other Bulgin I ordered.

Anyway, I now have a fully functional S22. Just need to wire up the S25, a TRS ground return and see if I can do something about this transformer hum....
