Manual relay disengage

Postby schlaget » June 2nd, 2012, 8:18 am

Is it possible to add e manual switch to the e12 circuit to be able to manually disengage the relay? Although my electronics knowledge is not that great, when looking at the schematic of the e12, I understand that the relay is under power when engaged.
Of course I could just put a switch in the power lines V+ or V+ but then I would always take a few secs to reengage when I turn it back on.

My intention would be to have a switch near the TRS plug, so I can disengage the relay before unplugging headphones to prevent damage to the b22 due to short-circuiting. And also use it for manual muting purposes.

Just put a switch in series with the relay coil.
