Case For the M3

Postby bomba_avatiah » September 9th, 2010, 11:40 am

I'm looking for a nice case for the M3. I ruled out Hammond because their cases have no ventilation slots.
I also looked into the Par-Metal case recommended on the M3 site, and I guess it could do, but it's kind of dull-looking.
Can anyone recommend a nice, slick case that would do justice to the M3?

While the Par-metal case is a bit dull by itself, if you get creative with the knobs and face plate it can be a pretty nice looking case. Here is my M3 in a par-metal case.

Note that the face plate was done by Front Panel Express using 6mm Al. You can also do the rear panel the same way except when you order the case you need to ask to have 2 "front" brackets so that you can mount the rear panel the same way as the front panel.

P.S. I am not saying my case is not dull, it very well might be to most.

Thanks, MisterX.
Looks nice, but unfortunately, they won't ship to my area...

Nice work! It looks great. Where did you get the knobs?

Those knobs look like the ones from Goldpoint.

This is perfect but assuming you also build the σ11, the transformer won't fit.

What thermal breakers were used in the build?
