Yes it's a new desktop DAC but it's an ambitious project and will take time for development. The γ2 is (and will) still be an excellent choice for a small, simple high-quality DAC.

Good stuff - I'll be able to enjoy the gamma2 while the dust settles.

I'm looking forward to seeing how much improvement can be made over the (already pretty outstanding I thought) gamma2. Have you invested in any new measuring equipment yet amb? If not I bet the new DAC measures just as well as the old one

Yes, I have new test equipment, namely Audio Precision Sys2322 Dual Domain. It's a complex beast and will take some time to master.
