98venom's M³sTwo M³ by 98venom are showcased here. The first eight photos show the first one, housed in a Hammond 1455T2202BK case with a custom clear polycarbonate top cover. This amplifier features Cardas GRFA-S RCA phono input jacks, Neutrik locking phone output jack, Vishay-Dale RN55 resistors, Nichicon Muse KZ electrolytic capacitors, Vishay-BC and Wima film capacitors and AD8610 opamps. A companion STEPS power supply, housed in a smaller Hammond case with clear polycarbonate top, is set to 27VDC. The second one, shown in the next eight photos, is a pre-amplifier and headphone amplifier. This amplifier has similar resistors and capacitors as the first amp, but uses OPA637/OPA627 opamps. The case is from DIY Fidelity, the volume control is a 50KΩ stepped attenuator, and the input selector is a DACT CT3 rotary switch. Kilo knobs are used for the selector and volume. The power supply is an internal STEPS set to 30VDC. M³ by auucThe unique enclosure with the M³ logo cutout on the top cover distinguishes this build by auuc of Taiwan. Inside, the amplifier features Vishay-BC 0.1% resistors, ERO 5W resistors, Wima and Rifa MMK film capacitors, Nichicon Muse KZ electrolytic capacitors, OPA637/AD8610 opamps, and Cosmos volume control potentiometer. The power supply is an Ultimate Mini Regulator fed by a large toroidal transformer.M³ by darkiszFor unrestricted cooling, darkisz used a custom perforated steel sheet as the top cover for his M³, which is housed in a Hammond 1455T2201BK enclosure. The amplifier features Vishay-Dale RN55 resistors, Vishay-BC and Wima film capacitors, Nichicon UPW electrolytics, AD8610 opamps, Alps RK27 potentiometers, Neutrik 1/4" output jack and Deltron gold RCA input phono jacks. The power supply is a TREAD with a 24V 500ma wall adapter.cook's M³This clean M³, built by cook, is housed in a 12"Wx8"Dx2"H clear alodine Par-Metal enclosure. The M³ is powered by a STEPS with Amveco 70062 toroidal transformer. A thin HDPE sheet isolates whole top cover and sides, because the top of the MOSFET heatsinks come very close to the top cover. This makes the cover a very tight fit. An isolating plastic sheet is also used beneath the circuit boards.M³ by dennisThis M³, built by Dennis Lin, is housed in a unique custom, tower-style chassis. It prominently features a laser-cut M³ logo on the stainless-steel top plate. The MOSFETs are mounted from the bottom of the board, and attached to a large heatsink, allowing for 130mA of quiescent current with ample cooling. The voltage regulator is based on the UCC mini regulator from Taiwan, and two extra 4700uF electrolytic reservoir capacitors were added. The opposite side chassis heatsink provide cooling for the regulator transistors. Dennis used OPA627BP opamps in this build.M³ by ntrlThis M³, built by ntrl of St. Petersburg, Russia, is housed in a Hammond 1455T2201 case, featuring a unique LED-backlit M³ logo on the front panel. The amplifier uses AD8610 opamps, Nichicon and Wima capacitors, and is powered by a 24V STEPS housed in a separate case.Page: 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 Main: M³ Main | Prev: History | Next: Buy |
