johnwmclean's balanced β22John from Australia built his balanced β22 and twin σ22 PSUs in separate enclosures. Two aluminum Par-Metal 20-series enclosures measuring 12"x12"x3" with clear anodized finish were used, with front and back panels being identical. The panel component cut-outs were first drawn up in Adobe Illustrator, then laser cut by a local company, the front panel text has been laser etched.The twin σ22 PSUs feature a Schurter IEC power entry module with line filter and Avel-Lindberg 80VA toroidal transformers. Twin umbilicals are used, with Amphenol eco|mate connectors and Belden 19364 power cables. The β22 features a DACT CT2 stepped attenuator, Amphenol XLR input jacks and Neutrik XLR headphone jacks. The finishing touch is a DACT 30mm stainless steel volume knob. All hook-up wire is 22 AWG silver teflon for signal and LEDS and 18 AWG silver teflon for power. All boards are populated with recommended components.        
Balanced β22 by GatsuGatsu's balanced β22 and σ22 are housed in separate Par-Metal 20-series 12"x12"x4" black anodized enclosures. The front panels are custom-machined by Front Panel Express. Input/Output/Dethump switching is controlled by a Picaxe 18X and the status is displayed on the dual color LEDs in the Bulgin momentary pushbutton switches. Volume is controlled by a Twisted Pear Audio Joshua Tree relay-based attenuator, the driver and Volumite boards have both been merged into a custom board which also handles the I/O switching. The volume knob is from Goldpoint.Power is controlled by a Picaxe 08M microcontroller, this also monitors the σ22 output voltages and will flash an error code on the power indicator of the PSU if there is a problem. The power controller and its power supply are on custom boards. This board also controls the solid state relay that switches power to the rest of the amp. The σ22 power supply boards feature Conrad heatsinks. The amplifier itself is a four-channel β22 set up to be able to be used as headphone amp, speaker amp and pre-amp.
